Our company

TECSCI is a spin-off company of the Lasers Laboratory of the Nanosystems Institute of the National University of San Martín, aiming to lead the development and commercialization of open-source scientific equipment for industrial, research and educational laboratories, with focus on nanotechnological processes, optics and spectroscopy. TECSCI was born in 2018 in response to the problem of overvaluation of scientific equipment, both electronic and mechanical, and of expensive repairs typically limited to technical services from the manufacturer, preventing their tuning to the specific requirements of cutting edge scientific experiments.

 

TECSCI offers the design and construction of open-source scientific equipment using digital
manufacturing, open source electronics and collaborative creation as well as the development of
experimental educational kits in chemistry, physics and biology for high schools, universities and
science museums. TECSCI is building an interdisciplinary working team with scientists, engineers and students.
